Nov.15, 2008-  The Golden Lions finally showed signs of the team that's been missing all season with a 34-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils. Offensively the high powered weapons have been there all season but tonight they were on display. Martell Mallet was one man wrecking crew racking up 219 yards of total offense (160 rushing, 59 recieving). The Golden Lions produced 365 yards of total offense while Miss. Valley was only able to muster 179 yards.

    Nov.14, 2008- Friday night the Lady Lions offically kicked-off 2008/2009 Basketball season with a 65-53 victory over the University of Texas Pan- American at the H.O. Clemmons Arena. Senior Arica Green led all scorers with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Teammates Tashayla Jackson and Ciara Shields also hit double digit points with Jackson chipping in 14 points and Shields contibuting 15. Leading the way for Texas Pan -American was Rose Esther Jean with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Next up for the Lady Lions will a road game against Mississippi State in Starksville, MS on November 18. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. 

    Nov.14, 2008- The Golden Lions got their 2008/2009 season under way Friday night with a tough loss on the road to Colorado 76-56. First year man Lebaron Weathers led the Golden lions with 22 points and 10 rebounnds. Junior transfer Tavaris Washington chipped in 18. This was the first of eleven road games for the Golden Lions. Next up for the Golden Lions will be Teaxs A&M on Nov. 16 at College Station. The Golden Lions will Play their first home game Jan.3 against Mississippi Valley.
