Saturday October 4, 2008 – The Pride Foundation held a Meet & Greet Reception featuring Dr. Lawrence A. Davis, Jr, Chancellor; Louis B. ‘Skip’ Perkins, Jr., Athletic Director; Monte Coleman, Head Football Coach; and George Ivory, Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The reception was held at the beautiful home of Mr. Jesse Mason and his wife Gail Reede Jones, MD, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Several influential Golden Lion supporters listened intently as Mason, President of the Pride Foundation and Perkins announced the creation of The Golden Lions Pride Foundation.

“Our goal is to create an organization similar to the Razorback Foundation, providing strong independent financial support for our athletics program. We’re not trying to be the Razorbacks, we’re just trying to be the best Golden Lions we can be,” stated Perkins.
