Lady Lions Start Off On The Right Track

Nov.14, 2008- Friday night the Lady Lions offically kicked-off 2008/2009 Basketball season with a 65-53 victory over the University of Texas Pan- American at the H.O. Clemmons Arena. Senior Arica Green led all scorers with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Teammates Tashayla Jackson and Ciara Shields also hit double digit points with Jackson chipping in 14 points and Shields contibuting 15. Leading the way for Texas Pan -American was Rose Esther Jean with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Next up for the Lady Lions will play a road game against Mississippi State in Starksville, MS on November 18. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
