PINE BLUFF, Ark.-The UAPB Lady Lions Track Team has added much needed speed to their sprint group.  Betty Burua a former student at Goroka Secondary in Papua New Guinea has signed a letter of intent to attend UAPB.

Betty is a sprinter with a time of 56 flat in the 400m and has run the 800m (2:18) as well as the 200m (25.40).

Coach Pittman’s hopes her presence will help the other sprinters who are returning to step up their performances as reflected by the distance program. Unable to score points in both SWAC Championships this year the sprint group will get a face lift with Burua’s presence.
