PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The Lady Lions volleyball team wrapped up a two game home stand with a 3-0 lost to Grambling State. Arkansas-Pine Bluff had previously fallen to the Arkansas-Monticello Cotton Blossoms by a 3-0 margin as well.
UAM defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 25-17, 25-20, and 25-16 while the Lady Tigers were able to win their three sets 25-15, 25-5, and 25-23.
Against Arkansas-Monticello the Lady Lions were led in kills by Philana Hemlee as she tallied nine. Jasmine Jacobs paced UAPB’s offensive attack against Grambling State as she accumulated five kills and three assists.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will travel to Huntsville, Ala. this weekend to participate in the Inaugural Betty K. Austin Volleyball Tournament.
