Arkansas-Pine Bluff Participates In Betty K. Austin Volleyball Tournament
PINE BLUFF, Ark.-The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff dropped a 3-1 decision to Fort Valley State at the Betty K. Austin Volleyball Tournament. UAPB won the matched third set 25-18 before falling 25-22 in the matches final set.
The Lady Lions lost to Alabama A&M 25-10, 25-7, and 25-13 on Saturday as their finished their tourney run with a 0-2 mark.
Jenitra Shields led Arkansas-Pine Bluff in kills during both outings as she racked up 15 kills versus Fort Valley State and nine against Alabama A&M.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff returns to the court on Monday, Oct. 19 in a non-conference match versus Mississippi Valley State in Itta Bena, Miss.
