Arkansas-Pine Bluff Loses in Consecutive Sets To MVSU

PINE BLUFF, Ark- It took Mississippi Valley State a total of three consecutive sets to knock off the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions in Southwestern Athletic Conference Volleyball action on Wednesday.
MVSU defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 25-15, 25-18, and 25-23 in the matches’ finale. The loss drops UAPB to 0-18 on the season.
Miranda Martin paced the Lady Lions scoring attack with 11 kills while fellow teammate Philana Hemlee added 7 kills of her own. Jasmine Jacobs recorded 13 assists in what was an impressive outing by the junior from Dallas, Texas.
UAPB will travel to Baton Rouge to play the Southern Lady Jaguars on Friday.
