RUSTON, La.- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions volleyball team concluded their season versus Grambling State Lady Tigers losing 3-0. The Lady Lions dropped their last their contests of the season losing to Arkansas-Monticello 3-0 and Prairie View A&M 3-0 respectively.
Head Coach La’Kyva Walton looks forward to the offseason where the Lady Lions can rebuild and take the program to a new level next season.
“”I’m very excited about the challenge of rebuilding our program during the offseason,” said Walton. “Our staff will go out and look to bring in some talented players that can help us reach the next level. Next season will be a new era of Lady Lions Volleyball.”
Arkansas-Pine Bluff concluded their 2009 campaign losing several hard fought decisions to Southwestern Athletic Conference foes. UAPB fell just shy of clinching a birth in the 2009 SWAC Volleyball Tournament.
