UAPB Stumbles On The Road Versus Ole Miss And Texas Tech

OXFORD, Miss.- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions basketball team is still in search of their first victory of the season after dropping road decisions to Mississippi and Texas Tech on Friday and Sunday respectively.
UAPB fell to Ole Miss by the score of 98-56 and to Texas Tech 97-57. Amanda Hammond led all Lady Lions scorers with 15 points versus Mississippi. UAPB’s Shay Holmes finished as the leading point contributor versus the Red Raiders as she came within two rebounds of posting a double-double against Texas Tech tallying 17 points and 8 boards.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will get a much needed break to regroup as they will not return to the hardwood until the first week of December.
The Lady Lions will also now get set to enter the second half of their 2009-10 non-conference schedule as they will travel Edinburg, Texas to face Texas Pan-American on Dec. 1st.
