PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff completed the 2009 football season ranking 24th in the nation in home attendance averaging over 11,000 fans per contest. Overall UAPB finished third within the Southwestern Athletic Conference behind only Jackson State and Southern.
“Our fans commitment to supporting us at home games has once again been demonstrated as we rank in the top 25 of all FCS football programs in regards to home attendance,” said UAPB Athletic Director Louis “Skip” Perkins Jr. “Its is our firm belief that we have some of the best fans in all of college football and we applaud them for the overwhelming loyalty and support.”
Additionally the Delta Literacy Classic played in Little Rock ranked sixth among all HBCU Classics with a total of 26,712 fans in attendance.
