PINE BLUFF, Ark.-In Softball action on Thursday the UAPB Lady Lions (1-11) took on the Tigers (8-7) of MemphisUniversity. In the first game the Lady Lions jumped out to an early 1-0 lead.
The Memphis Tigers would tie the ballgame in the second inning and didn't look back as they rolled on to a 15-2 victory, with most of the damage coming in the top half of the last inning.
In the second game the Lady Lions started off exactly like game one as they jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning that they would hold until the top of the fifth.
The Tigers managed three runs in that half of an inning that proved to be enough as they held –off a late sixth inning charge by the Lady Lions. Up next for the Lady lions is a March 4 double header with Ouachita Baptist in Arkadelphia, AR. Game times are 2pm and 4pm.
