Men's tennis goes undefeated at SWAC East vs. West Round-up
BATON ROUGE, La. – As competition in SWAC East-West Tennis Roundup ended on Sun. March 1st, the men of the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff returned home with an unblemished record from the tournament.
“Our men’s tennis team is well on their way to becoming a legitimate contender in the Southwestern Athletic Conference,” said UAPB Athletics Director Louis Perkins. “Both our men’s and women’s teams have come along way and we’re expecting continued improvement from both teams in the weeks to come.”
UAPB’s men’s team won matches on the final day of tourney play to remain undefeated at 5-0 in the round-up. The Golden Lions will continue to fine tune their skills as they will look to compete for 2009 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship.
