Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions softball begins to heat up heading into season finale

PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The Arkansas-Pine Bluff Lady Lions softball team played impressive softball over the past weekend as they defeated Southwestern Athletic Conference rival Texas Southern 13-0 and 1-0 in games one and two respectively.
Texas Southern was able to capitalize off of several UAPB miscues in the series finale as they went on to avoid a sweep at the hands of Arkansas-Pine Bluff winning 5-3. With the two wins UAPB appears to be heating up at just the right time as the 2009 SWAC Softball tournament will take place in the upcoming weeks.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff will wrap-up regular season play this weekend as they get set to travel to Prairie View, Texas to face the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers on Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th. The first pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. on Friday and 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
