ALEXANDRIA, La.-The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff men’s golf team concluded the 2009 Southwestern Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Tournament with an eighth place finish.
UAPB’s Gregory Robinson finished the tourney tied for 19th place while fellow teammate Shane Kelly finished in 24thplace. Robinson and Kelly were the Golden Lions only top 25 finishers as they shot scores of 242 and 248 respectively.
The men’s golf team comprised of Robinson, Kelly, Medric Splight, Garland Trice, and Donnie Savage made significant strides this past season highlighted by a third place finish at the Mississippi Valley State golf tournament.
The Golden Lions will now look for continued improvement during the off season as they prepare for their 2010 campaign.
