UAPB Men's Golf Team Finishes In First Place At MVSU Tourney

ITTA, Bena, Miss.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Men’s Golf Team competed in the Mississippi Valley State Golf Tournament finishing in first place after posting some impressive scores at the two day event.
The Golden Lions who are led by Head Coach Carson Field have shown a vast amount of potential in their opening weeks of competition. This years’ team consist of freshman Caleb Ray and Christopher Johnson, sophomores’ Gregory Robinson and Shane Kelly, and junior Medric Spight.
The team shot a collective score of 300 on day one and 603 on day two of the tourney. Johnson shot a team low 73 on day one while fellow teammates Kelly, and Ray tied for the teams’ low score on day two at 74.
