PINE BLUFF, Ark.- Arkansas-Pine Bluff football players Freddie Fairchild and Mareo Howard have reaped additional postseason honors as they have both been selected to the All-SWAC teams.
“Were extremely proud of Mareo and Freddie,” said UAPB Head Coach Monte Coleman. “They both worked hard this past season and they had tremendous impacts on our team defensively and on special teams.”
Fairchild was a first team All-SWAC selection at linebacker as he proved to be one of the Golden Lions key defensive players last season leading the team in tackles.
Howard was also named to the SBN and Sports Network All-American First Teams at return specialist. Last season Howard led the nation in kick-off return yardage averaging 31 yards a return.
