PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff men’s and women’s basketball teams will play in the friendly confines of H.O. Clemmons Arena during their next four Southwestern Athletic Conference games.
UAPB will host Grambling State and Jackson State on Saturday, Jan. 30th and Monday, Feb. 1st respectively. The following week the Golden and Lady Lions will get set to face Alabama A&M and Alabama State on Saturday, Feb. 6th and Monday, Feb. 8th respectively.
Currently the men’s basketball team sits in a three-way tie for third place in the conference with a 5-2 overall SWAC record. Arkansas-Pine Bluff went 1-1 on the road last week knocking off Prairie View A&M 62-54 before falling to Texas Southern 70-67.
The women’s team is 2-5 overall in SWAC play after losing to Prairie View A&M (87-80) and Texas Southern (90-82 OT) last week on the road.
All children/youth grade levels K-12 will be admitted into all UAPB home basketball games free of charge. Single general admission tickets for Arkansas-Pine Bluff home basketball games can be purchased for $5.
