PINE BLUFF, Ark.- The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff athletics program has partnered with the Salvation Army to help spread some holiday cheer this season.
 
Members of the athletics department's administrative and coaching staffs have volunteered to assist by serving as bellringers while accepting donations for the Salvation Army.
 
“The members of our athletics program are committed to giving back to the communities that we serve in a variety of ways,” said UAPB Director or Athletics Lonza Hardy Jr.  ”We can think of no better way of accomplishing this goal than by assisting the Salvation Army during this festive time of the year and helping to make it possible for that organization to assist those in our community who may need a helping hand.  This is just our small way of saying thank you to our citizens who support us throughout the year.”
 
UAPB's athletics staff will be accepting donations for the Salvation Army this week through Wednesday, December 21 at the JC Penny store located at the Pine's Mall in Pine Bluff.
