The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football program has announced the addition of Jonathan Green as a Graduate Assistant on the offensive side of the ball, working with the quarterbacks. Green brings a versatile coaching background that spans the NFL, FBS, FCS, and Division III levels, with experience in both defensive and offensive systems.
Most recently, Green served as Defensive Backs Coach at Capital University (2023–24), where he focused on technique, discipline, and leadership development in the secondary. In the summer of 2024, he earned invaluable NFL experience through the Kansas City Chiefs’ Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship, working directly with the defensive staff during training camp and preseason on film breakdown, game planning, and player development.
In 2023, Green gained Power 5 recruiting experience at Georgia Tech, volunteering with evaluations, communication, and recruiting operations. He also spent the 2022 season at Grambling State University as a Defensive Quality Control and Assistant Cornerbacks Coach, contributing to film study, scouting reports, game-plan preparation, and on-field player development.
Across his career, Green has been actively involved in recruiting, opponent breakdown, and practice implementation at multiple levels of college football. Now shifting to the offensive side of the ball, he will assist UAPB’s quarterbacks while continuing his growth as a young coach with a broad perspective of the game.
