Miles Dortch Named Men’s Field Performer of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Miles Dortch have been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference as Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their outstanding performances in competition during April 8-9.

Dortch a freshman from Topeka, Kansas claimed a victory in the javelin throw event at the Arkansas-Little Rock Invitational, delivering a toss of 49.38m (162.00 feet) to win it. The freshman also picked up a fourth-place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 44.87m (147-02.00 feet). This is the second time this season that Dortch has won a javelin competition.
